This series bring crime stories based on real-life events on to the screen. Achieving a fusion of the reel with the real, Kahani Jurrm Ki is a collection of stories skilfully presented by a sutradhar.

The sutradhar arrives at the scene of the crime, but he is not a part of the scene - he is an onlooker who appears to know the future. He also reminds us of the social role that we have to play to ensure that the horrific crimes that are dealt with in the series do not happen to us.

At the same time, he also works as a psychological relief for us, bailing us out of the harsh sequences witnessed on the serial.

An ex-cop and an ex-con join hands to fight crime, in this action packed show.

Karan (Sallil Ankola) and Sidhhu (Vinod Sharawat) - two guys from completely different backgrounds and poles apart in attitude - get together to fight crime, masterminded by a miserly, crafty old man, Vishram Wakatkar (Saurabh Shukla of “Satya” fame). Though there is a constant one-upmanship game going on between them, both trust each other with their lives.

The episodes also have humour derived from the relationship between Wakatkar and his Man Friday Raoji (played by Vijay Patkar), who ensures that Wakatkar drinks foul-tasting concoctions, that he passes off as health drinks. Sidhhu’s mother (played by Himani Shivpuri) has been led to believe that Sidhhu is well settled in life. Once, She comes to Mumbai, with a proposal for Sidhhu, to marry the daughter of the pujari in their hometown and discovers the realities of Sidhhu’s life! Karan takes immense pleasure in this and fuels the fire.

Very often Karan and Sidhhu are emotionally involved in the cases that they takeup and work for justice than for the money they can earn from it. One such instance is the case of an old man, who is in search of the man who bombed the plane in which his entire family got wiped out. Karan is moved by it and makes it his mission to punish the guilty. In the end, Sidhhu and Wakatkar also join hands with Karan and fight for justice. When a young child is the witness to a murder, both Sidhhu and Karan protect him. They hunt down the heartless mercinary whose intention was to kill the child.

The series also has a dose of romance and glamour. Karan morns in silence and lives with the memories of his lost love Ramona, who died in a police firing. Sidhhu, on the other hand, is a flirt. His dream is to find a rich, good looking woman. Pooja, a dancer, (played by Shruti Seth of Shararat) is in love with him, but he is not serious about their relationship.

Visually brilliant AK…TION UNLIMITED JOSH, is undoubtedly bigger than any television series and will set the benchmark for fiction television hereafter.

This series is an entertainer for everyone, with a mixture of drama, suspense, thrills, song, dance and mind-blowing AK…TION!

Kailash and Rudra are twins born in a reputed family. At the time of birth, the family Purohit predicts that Kailash will grow to be a simple soul whereas Rudra will turn to be evil.

The Purohit advises the parents to abandon the baby but the they refuse to do so.

As time passes by, Rudra shows signs of the evil in him. However, the birth of a daughter gives a meaning to their lives.

One day, a few cousins visit the family. But Rudra, in a fit of anger kills his sister by mistake. The Rajvansh family is shattered and they decide to abandon Rudra.

They hire a faithful man and offer him some money to go to the jungle and leave Rudra. Rudra nurtures hatred and anger in his mind. A young nanny of the family saves Rudra from the man’s clutches. But Rudra is adapted by a baba.

Under the tantrik baba’s tutelage, Rudra learns blackmagic. Many years later, Shiv, Kailash’s son gets married to Shalini. Rudra is now an aged powerful tantrik. He comes to the Rajvansh house and asks his rightful place in the house.

Rudra says that providence had other ideas and now he wants his place in the family. Kailash denies it completely. Rudra leaves in anger and before leaving, looks into Shalini’s eyes and says one day she will be forced to fall to his feet.

With time, the fortunes of the Rajvansh family dwindle and Shiv and Shalini lose three kids in succession. A shattered Shalini pleads Rudra to take pity on her and he helps her. A scared, but grateful Shalini returns. And her kids thereafter survive. Yash, Krish and Aditi are born.

At the time of Yash’s marriage, a perfect proposal of a girl called Nisha pleases everyone in the family. She seems to be the best girl for Yash as their horoscope match well.

Kehta Hai Dil

Kehta Hai Dil is the story of a family who lives in the small, idyllic town of Anand Nagar. It the family of SP Aditya Pratap Singh, Dr Jaya Singh and their three children - Karishma, Kunal and Kiran.

But primarily, it the story of Karishma and how the dramatic events that occur in her life affect the entire family.

Karishma, a young college-going girl, is in love with Dhruv, but her family disapproves because they feel she is too young. Aditya’s arch-enemy is the Mayor of the town. The Mayor’s wife, who is the main brain behind all the villainy, takes the opportunity to use Karishma as a pawn in her war against Aditya. And for this she takes her son, Nikhil’s help.

Nikhil pretends to be a great friend of Karishma’s, even promising to help sort things out with Dhruv. He is extremely sweet to her. Whenever she is low, he cheers her up.

He earns her trust and one night, pretending that he wants her to meet his parents, take her to his parents’ farmhouse, where a party is on. He tricks her into staying back after all the guests have left. The press, who has been informed by Lalita, arrive there and find Nikhil and Karishma in an ostensibly intimate position.

The news is splashed all over the press. Lalita is very proud of Nikhil and we realise that Nikhil is a bad guy after all.

Karishma also realises that Nikhil had been playing with her all along. However, since the press has carried her photo coming out of Nikhil’s house, the only way she can save her family’s face is by marrying Nikhil.

Kumkum is the story of the Wadhwa family, headed by its patriarch, Harsh Wadhwa and his wife Raajeshwari. The Wadhwa family is of high social esteem and the Wadhwa Group of Industries has a niche for itself.

It is the story of characters who find themselves involved and entangled in relationships which destiny has in store for them.

Kumkum is the story of the Wadhwa family seen through the eyes of its protagonist, the favourite bahu of the family, Kumkum.

The couple Harsh and Raajeshwari, in late 60s/early 70s has three children. The eldest son is Brijbhushan, a widower, who has never got along with his father Harsh. The two believe in completely different value systems. Hence the conflict between the two. He has a son, Rahul who in turn has a conflict with his father as he agrees with the values his grand parents believe in and doesn’t see eye to eye with his errant father.

The other son Kulbhushan and his wife Veena are gentle, stable and make the perfect couple. As Harsh leads a retired life and never leaves home, it is Kul who handles the family business according to the principals and values of his father. In this, he is assisted by Jatin his eldest son, who has the dynamism of youth and the values of Harsh Wadhwa.

For Harsh, Jatin is his heir apparent. His lovely wife KumKum is the perfect companion. A very lively character, yet a person with a very sound head. She can take charge of things when required.

Sumit is Kul’s second son. He too is in college along with Rahul and is in love with a girl called Renuka, a slightly arrogant, rich girl. Sumit is extremely attached to his bhabhi Kumkum. They share a wonderful rapport and are more friends than anything. Preeti, the youngest daughter of Kulbhushan is the youngest in the family and everyone dotes on her.

Also staying in the house is Sukanya, Harsh’s daughter along with her two daughters, Nalini and Malini. Sukanya is separated from her husband Hemant, who still works for the Wadhwa Group of Companies. Sukanya is the quintessential troublemaker and finds herself closer to Brij than others in the family. Nalini and Malini are the two comic characters of the series.
