reative Arts Awards Over the past few months the Board of Governors of the Academy has struggled with the problem of the ever-escalating length of the Creative Arts Awards evening. With this year’s addition of several new awards, the length of the event was threatening to exceed four hours. Six Feet Under, Lead Emmy Nominations Six Feet Under collected 16 nominations, followed by NBC`s The West Wing with 15. Presenters at the brief press conference, produced by Doug Stewart in the TV Academy`s Leonard H. Goldenson Theatre, were Academy Chairman Bryce Zabel; Jane Kaczmarek, star of Malcolm in the Middle; and Michael Chiklis of The Shield, who was a surprise winner last year as best actor in a drama series. Both were nominated again this year. It was the fourth nomination without an Emmy for Kaczmarek, and she went weak in the knees, disappearing with a whoop behind the podium as Chiklis read her name.

His coworker and former counselor (Metcalfe) helps him learn the ropes and proves a reliable friend outside the office.

Enter Laurie and Danny who are Norm`s co-workers and best friends. Both are caring, meticulous, highly skilled workers who are devoted to helping others work out their problems. Outside the office, both Laurie and Danny have their own issues to deal with, including love, friendships and relationships.
