Pazhanichamy is a B.E graduate, whose role model is Bill Gates. His condition to his parents is that he will marry a girl, who should not be educated and will always abide by his rules. Ishwarya, is a young girl, who is a B.E.graduate. Both Ishwarya and Pazhanichamy work in the same company. Once,Pazhanichamy gets a contract, for his company and impresses his Managing Director. He wants to work on the contract alone since it is a huge contract. But the Managing Director insists on Pazhanichamy working with Ishwarya. So he is furious about this and resigns the job. Ishwarya likes his attitude and falls in love with him.
In the meanwhile, Parameswara Goundar gets a photo of Thamarai and shows it to Pazhani who is impressed. Thamarai, is a young girl, who is a graduate and believes in self-respect and self-confidence. Both Parameswara Goundar and Rajeshwari’s family visit Thamarai simultaneously. Thamarai’s father Chenniyappan leaves the decision to his daughter. Thamarai selects Pazhanichamy, though Rajeshwari tries to catch her attention with her jewels. Rajeshwari is furious by Thamarai’s decision and pulls down Chenniyappan’s family. Ishwarya resigns her job on knowing Pazhani’s marriage and begins her career with Rajeswari’s son Satish as his business partner.
Thamarai tries to convince Pazhani to postpone their plans for having children. But Pazhani replaces the pregnancy preventive tablets with tonic tablets. Thamarai becomes pregnant. Ishwarya once again enters Pazhani’s life and they decide to start a new business on their own. Their love blossoms again.
Thiagarajan reveals their relationship to Thamarai. She is furious to know the truth. Both Thamarai and Ishwarya deliver their babies and stay away from Pazhani. Pazhani’s friend and his mother Parvathi force him to marry Ishwarya immediately. Later,Thamarai understands the relationship between Pazhani and Ishwarya.
Pazhani
Pazhani is an urban educated Gold Medalist (B.E. Architecture) graduate with lot of zeal and ambition to make it big in life like Bill Gates. Pazhani decides that he should get married to a girl, who will not be against his ambitions. He decides on certain qualities, which is a prerequisite for a girl to be his wife. Finally he decides to marry a village girl, because he feels that a village girl will be obedient to him.
Ishwarya
Ishwarya, equally well educated like Pazhani is working with him and loves him without realizing Pazhani’s intentions to marry a village girl called Thamarai. She becomes furious on Pazhani, and resigns her job . Due to circumstances she happen tie up with Pazhani’s life, but she never disturbs Pazhani’s life with Thamarai.
Thamarai
Thamarai is a well educated girl from a decent family, living in a village with her parents. Thamarai has her own policy that a person should not change according to circumstances and must strictly follow his/her principles. Pazhani is against her policies.
