From prolific executive producer Bruce Helford and comedy sensation Drew Carey, comes a look at the life of an average single guy struggling to fulfill his financial and romantic dreams.
As assistant director of personnel at a Cleveland department store, Drew works hard and plays by the rules. Yet despite his congenial attitude, he’s continually tormented by his office nemesis and sister-in-law, the overly made-up Mimi, and his ruthless English boss, Mr. Nigel Wick.
After a long day, Drew finds refuge with his formerly cross-dressing brother, Steve, tomboy ex-fiance, Kate, and lifelong pals, Oswald and Lewis.

Drew Carey (Drew Carey)
Horizontally challenged, bespectacled, fat and funny. That’s the lead man in the Drew Carey Show! Yeah, you guessed right. He’s Cleveland’s famous funny man. He’s also an overweight middle-aged man in a go nowhere job. His life in the corporate world is quite a struggle as is his personal life. His only friends are Oswald and Lewis and the apple of his eye is Kate. Mimi is the thorn in his side.
Mimi (Kathy Kinney)
Mimi Bobeck is Drew’s nemesis and office foe. Mimi and Drew engage in hilarious interaction, which involves name-calling and practical jokes that go as far as to send Drew to China. They are always fighting and you can’t help thinking that they love it…
Mimi has since met and married Steve, Drew’s transvestite brother. She now lives with her husband in a trailer in Drew’s yard. Will Drew, now, be able to bury the hatchet with his new sis-in-law?
Kate (Christa Miller)
She’s a tomboy who is Drew’s best friend and the object of his affection. Kate is known for being a slut and moody, but she seems to have developed into a more loving person once she and Drew have started seeing each other. She’s always been the butt of all his jokes. She used to date a guy named Jay and even had a fling with Oswald.
Lewis (Ryan Stiles)
He’s one of Drew’s buddies. He can’t get a girl, he isn’t smart and he works as a janitor at Drug Co., where monkeys going crazy and weird products are common. He is fun, and is the source of a lot of great jokes. Recently, he discovered that he had fathered a child during his youth and is now the grandfather of an infant.
Oswald (Diedrich Bader)
He’s a goofy guy, very stupid. He’s always hand in glove with all the practical jokes Drew pulls on Kate. He hangs out with Lewis and Drew all the time. He works as a Global Parcel deliveryman. He and Lewis share a pad and are best friends. Oswald also had relations with the same girl as Lewis and the fatherhood is in question. But since the boy looks a lot like Lewis, the two friends decide to be co-father and co-grandfathers.
Mr Wick (Craig Ferguson)
He’s Drew’s boss. He’s a hilarious English man who has had problems with drugs, is fairly clueless and gets a lot of ladies. He is cool, but not too bright.
