Meet the newest Asian Family in showbiz!

Meet the Kumars. They live at No 42 in Wembley. They’ve bulldozed their back garden so they can build a studio on the back of their house and indulge their spoilt son, Sanjeev (Sanjeev Bhaskar), who fancies himself as a celebrity chat show host.

The Kumars are like any other family on the surface. Dad, Ashwin, is keen to get down to business - literally; Mum, Madhuri, just wants what every Asian mother wants - a wedding; and Granny Sushila, well, she’s growing old disgracefully and is fast gaining a reputation as the coolest Ummi in Wembley!

Sanjeev doesn’t always find it convenient living with his family, however, because he is a professional chat-show host who films his weekly show in a studio attached to the house, he doesn’t have much of a choice.

Each week the guests arrive and have to run the gauntlet of the Kumars, not only by walking through the house to get to the studio but also being subjected to interrogation in the studio from mum, dad and granny. In all the chaos, Sanjeev tries to keep order and occasionally ask the odd question himself.
