The gruelling competition has crowned Kelly Clarkson, Ruben Studdard, Fantasia Barrino and Carrie Underwood successively, and has grown bigger and bigger each season.

San Francisco, Austin, Boston, Chicago, Denver, Greensboro, Las Vegas. This year too superstar hopefuls have once again turned out in thousands from cities all over America, for their stab at stardom.
