A ‘spin off’, as the format is known in the West, ‘CID Special Bureau’ offers a different aspect of crime and investigation to the viewers of ‘CID’ who have been craving for more of their favourite show. The show takes an emotional approach to unsolved cases where the families of the victims are forced to go through the haunting agony of losing there loved ones and not getting justice. The ‘Special Bureau’ team takes on the uphill task of digging through the layers of time and reach the core of the crimes.

Visual recreation of a crime as the layers of mystery gradually open in the course of investigation, make the show a class apart from other shows in the genre.
