Saat Phere is a story of a girl’s struggles against the stigmas forced upon her by society and her quest for her unique identity. Although India has progressed in various fields of technology, science & education, discrimination against women remains the root cause of regression in many societies in India leading to degradation of women.

One such story is that of Saloni, a dark complexioned 24-year-old girl. Salonis’s talent is overshadowed by her complexion. Faced with such a situation, Saloni is determined to not let society’s will be imposed upon her and ruin her life and has the will, spirit and the courage to embark upon the journey to search for her own unique identity. The show will be anchored by Rakshanda Khan. It will be shot parallely during the main Indian Idol gala rounds (Gala rounds are episodes where the remaining contestants perform so that the nation can vote for the Indian Idol based on the performance. Each week there is one less contestant as the contestant with the lowest votes gets eliminated). The feel and attitude of this show as the title Indian Idol Takaa Tak suggests, will be spunky & will complement Indian Idol. The primary focus will be the reality coverage of the high charged emotional drama that ensues as one by one the contestants get eliminated each week juxtaposed with unseen behind the scene action in the week that was, untold inside gossip, public opinion, judges story, etc.

Idhu Oru Kadhal Kathai from K. Balachandar is a love story between two people from completely different backgrounds. This is a love story of Janaki and Sakthivel. Janaki is a middle class Brahmin girl. Her father dreams of his daughter as an IAS officer.

Janaki meets Sakthivel who is a Devar boy by accident. She falls in love with Sakthivel and he reciprocates. Their love intensifies as time progresses. The love of Sakthivel and Janaki is not welcome by their parents.

Obstacles come one after the other for the lovers, but they overcome all the hurdles and unite in life. Their love, their Struggle, sustaining the love amidst the conflicting environment forms the crux of the story.

Sakthivel’s family lives in a village with his father Ayya Devar. His family is different from the others in village. The reason is Ayya Devar’s family has been a big family constituting nearly 45 members of all age group. He believes in values and thinks living together is the way to live.

To keep the family members so, Ayya Devar has his own set of rules. His most affectionate son is Sakthivel, to whom Ayya Devar had decided to pass on the mantle. But Sakthivel’s love for Janaki has repercussions on the family. The whole concept of a ‘joint family’ is under threat. Ayya Devar faces numerous problems, which he has never even dreamt of.

It’s now the responsibility of Sakthivel and Janaki to keep the family members intact and their love for each other. The story unfolds as to how the they face all problems. Janaki’s family is also not happy with their daughter falling in love with a Devar community boy. They feel the tradition and sentiments of their community is hurt by this relationship.
